WHAT IS AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT?

PTSA volunteers organize afterschool enrichment classes as a service to the parents and students at Redmond Elementary. PTSA partners with local vendors and teachers to offer before and after school programs. We do this as a service to the school community. For our local vendor programs, 100% of registration fees are paid to those vendors.

Here's how it works: Register your child for a class. All classes are held right at Redmond Elementary.  After the school is dismissed, your child will be picked from the classroom and will be taken to the enrichment class (cafeteria, gym, library Room or Room 142). The class will be run by a professional instructor in their field. In addition, there will be a parent volunteer chaperoning the class to make sure your student is safe and happy until you pick them up. If your child does not show up to a class for which they are registered, we will contact you immediately.

CLASS CHAPERONES

All clubs must have an adult family member as a chaperon who will be on-site throughout the entire session, signing students in (and contacting the office/family if a child is absent), and signing the students out.

Chaperones must be Redmond Elementary PTSA members, also be approved volunteers, and abide by all vaccination requirements from Lake Washington School District (LWSD). You can read more on how to register on the Volunteering in LWSD page on the LWSD website.

Sign up to chaperone a class and get free or discounted tuition. Contact us at enrichment@redmondelptsa.org if you would like to chaperone all the dates in the session, and vendor will refund the program fees!

If there is no available volunteer for a session, that session will need to be canceled.

Financial Aid

We don't want anyone missing out on afterschool classes. Redmond Elementary PTSA offers scholarships to help with these expenses. Vendors also provide some scholarships with some restrictions applied. Please send an email to enrichment@redmondelptsa.org for more information. All classes have a minimum and maximum number of students, so the sponsorship will be provided by first come first served basis.

Redmond Elementary PTSA does not sponsor, endorse, or recommend any of the organizations, services, or activities described on our website. In consideration of the privilege to distribute these materials, Redmond Elementary PTSA shall be held harmless from any causes of action filed in any court or administrative tribunal arising out of the distribution of these materials, including all costs, attorney's fees, judgments, or awards.
